Original sketch
(Expanded a bit from the cryptic notes) Medium brown "undersleeves" emerge from the robe, but it's unclear if the fabric is entirely original or replaced during conservation for the display. The underlying fabric looks in suspiciously perfect condition and the texture doesn't look like anything else in the display. There's a further discussion of this on the page for the coat. A passing tour guide said the fabric is all original, but from what I overheard of his spiel he wasn't a textile expert. And there's that tendency of tour guides to follow the rule of "be definite even if you have to be wrong."
